Children’s Aid Society headlines one of the largest Christmas programs in Charles County. Working in partnership with the Charles County Department of Social Services, the program assists approximately 2,000 children with Christmas toys and gifts. For this program, Children’s Aid collects toys though donations and Social Services handles the application and scheduling process. During the months before Christmas, Children’s Aid gives boxes out to local businesses and they collect toys for us at drop off locations. Children’s Aid mans the week-long event and is always in need of volunteers to help set up and even walk clients around as they “shop” for the right gifts for their children.
